The beginning was very slow, but the pace is beginning to pick up. The plot is confusing and I'm not sure where everything fits together, since the main character has an unreliable memory. I have no idea what everything with the cat is about- this is the first book I've read that incorporates a cat's perspective. So bonus points for originality, I guess?

it's not scary, it's not even suspenseful, it's just plain weird. the author is a creep and a weirdo who spends a worrying amount of time discussing the bodies of minors. i'm only finishing this because i'm too far in to stop
