I was so excited with all the chapters from Slade's POV. But it's been 264 pages of not a whole lot happening and I'm bored af. 💤

Malina and Midas are literally the same person. Manipulative with no respect for someone they deem beneath them. 💀

I understand WHAT Malina is doing and I understand WHY, but they way she's doing it is giving me the ick. I'm all for strong women taking what's theirs but she just giving sneaky bitch vibes and it's gross.

Are we sure this isn't a Rapunzel retelling? We have magic "hair" (or ribbons), a golden girl locked in a tower/palace, a "loved one" who keeps her locked away to protect her, "I'm the only one you can trust", and a not-quite-good-guy with a reputation who sets her free. 🤔

I realized I haven't touched this book in over a month... At what point do I just give up? 😶 I probably should just DNF but let us try again.

I'm getting through this one chapter at a time. I've read my fair share of dark stories but this one is hitting harder that the others. Maybe because we were already introduced to the FMC in Will & Waylon's book or because she was so young when she went "missing"? Either way, it's giving me some feelings. Wonderfully written tho. Like... *chef's kiss*

Soooo... Nothing is happening...? There has been a lot of TALK of stuff happening but literally no one has followed up on it. A entire third of the book is NOTHING. 😭

Since I struggled with "Wretched" I am a little apprehensive about starting this one. If "Twisted" doesn't step up it's going in the DNF pile.

This book gives me the confusion icks. I don't want to like it because 🚩🚩🚩 but I do. I really do. It's the whole "I will burn the world to the ground if you hurt her" vibe. Fucking kryptonite.

The writing style is very easy to read. You get world building without a huge info dump. I understand why people are so obsessed with Fourth Wing. 👍 So far, so good.
