I don’t like MMC but I hear this is a 6 star journey-so far it’s at a 2/3 but who knows. I think the lead girl is annoying? But I do like that her twin got to be ~special~ too

It is taking much faith in the word of booktokers to press on as I’m getting the urge to read 1,000 other things now (a mistborn reread, sword of kaigan, the will of the many, or a classy classy rom com, I ain’t picky) but I will press on-I don’t know if this book will have romance but according to my kindle it’s only 8hours long and so I’ll give it a few days of effort

Well turns out Carl Jung isn’t the genius I thought he was bc the very basis of his pov on the unconscious I don’t totally get on board with but I am excited to read more and ~grow my mind~ and such but hey maybe my pov is wrong but I’m just going with my gut here

I feel this is a tad predictable but it’s almost so predictable that’s there’s no way I’m actually right, it may be a plant a classic bait and switch. Also the plot is very fun very different. I wish girlie didn’t have a bob tho it doesn’t fit the vibe

Minor pet peeve is using words that would have been culturally impossible to know if it really is in fact another world- there can’t be a the word ___ was “christened” in a society without Jesus I KNOW I NITPICK it’s my truth tho an editor should have caught that

In a fit of rage I googled when does this book pick up and the world of Reddit says not till 75%??!!!?! Combined with the fact that I just read the main man in this book HAS MULTIPLE DICK PIERCINGS I SAID WTF BYE I chose this bc it wasn’t supposed to be ultra porno like tiktok be preaching but I was wrong DNF

okay maybe this is dumb but I hate the plot line of woman sold to man and has to escape the betrothal and girl is shocked by this situation-they didn’t have things like women’s right in this era so I don’t get how a 20yr old could expect a life of single hood-like if every woman is either married or clergy how did fmc expect to be the one outlier?? I know she’s *not like other girls* but it irritates me

Every time I read this I’d in even 15% tired I cannot comprehend anything, and spend at least 15 minutes rereading the same two pages trying to comprehend it and then I give up

Listening to this is taking the most discipline I’ve ever had to execute. Only respect for this years New Year’s resolution is getting me thru. Plus the movies slap I will try to endure

One of my *personal pet peeves* within books/movies is the VILLAN MONOLOGUE WHERE THEY EXPLAIN THEIR EVERY MOVE AND MOTIVE!! This simply would not ever happen irl. They’d go kill the good guys, they’d keep it on the DL idk but you’d simply have to be the most stupid idiotic villain of all time to take several pages worth of time to explain your evil plan and motivations to the good guys
