This book could be decent if not for the freaking MOUNTAIN FREAK “culture”!! Bro. 10 yrs of separation is not enough to build THAT kind of a disgusting horrific gulf between societies and I’m not a fan of it actually considering a DNF but I am intrigued enough by everything else so idk might have to DNF. I predict that Evander is alive and the reason this crucible situation is so hard is perhaps all the people who “die” but their bodies come out are somehow part of the protection of whatever they’re in there for. Idk if I know enough info to know what I’m talking about here but that’s my guess.
