This is either a piece of misdirection, or the author cannot keep up with her own plotting.

I'd forgotten that there was a place in this series called Cardiff and I am now once again losing it over "Amber eyes of Cardiff" hahahahahaaaa.

One very minor thing that's grinding my gears with this book is the author using 'cottage' and 'cabin' interchangeably.

The premise is promising, but the execution so far leaves a little to be desired.

Either I didn't notice this in the previous books* or this one had a different editor, but the number of places a comma is used instead of a semicolon or full stop in this book is absolutely wild.

* I would have noticed, it's one of my composition bugbears.

The twists start coming and they simply do not stop coming. Jesus Christ. This is some mind-bendingly good shit.

Did some lunchtime reading and am now disgruntled at having to work for a living.

I've seen a fair few reviews opining about how the characters don't act like people in their thirties, how they seem too immature.

Lemme tell you, as someone who was, until quite recently, 34 years old - this is an accurate representation of a 34 year old person.
