i finally figured out why im not enjoying it and i think its because the audiobook. the physical would’ve been ideal here because the narrator talks with the same smarmy intonation as my dad which is just annoying and makes me think he’s about to say something stupid with full confidence

at some point i started reading all of warner’s lines in a terrible irish accent and i think its because he calls her ‘love’. alas, even that is not enough to keep me reading cause this book is BOOOORRRINGGGG

The pacing is kinda weird because i just spent way too long reading about them trancing through 2 different celebrations on the same night of the same thing

and why is nothing HAPPENING

I was a little underwhelmed at the start but the characters are much more real halfway through, plus I really like the progression of this story so far!

now im taking a break from my f2 gay romance to read some afl gay romance
