I have finally finished reading this children's book,which, even as an adult, took me weeks!
I think it's a complex tale,which at times surprised me with the adult themes explored and sometimes dark imagery.
I've never read any of Yaba Badoe's work before but am glad I have discovered her and think she writes remarkably well, with such deep descriptions that capture the essence of her wild imagination.

So far into this children's book I can see that I will learn a lot about a different (African) culture from the vivid description the author uses right from the start.

It's another great little old book from the late Dr Dyer. It took me a while a to read, despite it being bitesize, but that's because I am very slow and ha e to re read a page at least 5 times to comprehend.
A great little reminder of how no matter what is going on in the world, we can try to at least restore inner balance which could then positively have a ripple effect on those around us and so on.
