The internal dialogue between Violet and Xaden is as cringy as I remember.

Yeah… I’m still not a fan of this.

I hated this so much when I first read it. Let’s see if I feel differently about it this time around.

I couldn’t get into the last book because I hated Iron Flame so much but I’m going to give the audiobooks a try and see if I can get myself to finish reading the 3rd book in the series.

DNF - It’s clear this book wants to say something deep, but it just doesn’t land. The writing feels forced and instead of being moving or insightful it comes off as pretentious and hollow.

There’s absolutely no need for this book to be this long. When is this going to end! 🙄
