Dnf… im pretty sure it’s not the book, it’s just me. I’m in an awful slump

It’s been a week and I fear this will be a dnf. Nothing to do with it being boring but more that I don’t think I’m in the mood for something like this & it’s putting me in a slump…

Love that her coffee spot is called Fika hihihi. Also I’ll repeat myself when I say I love the subplot of her rs with her dad. I see what people meant when they said Emily Henry weaves in family dynamics into her stories.

I absolutely love the fact that the relationship with her dad is given attention to, rather than this fat book being a bleak romance. Complicated family dynamics? Especially one I relate to? Yes please!

I already love her writing style so much

Julie has got to be one of the most conflicting characters I’ve ever read. I can’t tell how unlikable she is. Then again the premise of this book is actually insane & it asks the difficult questions of how can you move on (or should you even) when you’re still lingering somehow. Hmm.

Her explaining the story behind his passing is so aching & a proper reminder of why not to let unnecessary anger get to you 3

The introduction by Sophie Mackintosh is far too good to be true! I’ve reread it twice, its got me HOOKED and underlining plenty already. Excited for this one.
