I still don't like the love line. Dumb. I'm tired of them training. There are some good surprise scenes, though.

Okay. It's getting better. King might be dead. He got taken by vampires and Lilith kicked him over a cliff. I don't like his characterization. Black character. Big, dark, raised on the streets of LA, mother OD'd. Can white writers imagine any other down and out story for a black character? Awhade rass.

I don't like this book. Too many unnecessary scenes. Why do I need to see them making breakfast? I still can't stand sex scenes in vampire stories--except for Underworld. Underworld has a plausible romance and both are pretty serious. Glenna in this story makes me cringe.

I'm reading my books, but I'm at about 50 percent for all of them...

This is an invaluable book for non-white writers. I am glad that I bought it.

Pretty slow going. I'm not too fond of this book. As a vampire story, it's pretty slow. I don't quite know why Lilith wanted to turn Cian. Where is Cian getting his blood bags? Why does King stay by him and King is not a supernatural as far as I can tell. I don't like the romance bit of it between Glenna and Hoyt. I mean they are both magicians, but still. It rings so silly, I guess.

I am very glad I ordered this book. Tonight's reading was exceptionally helpful. It's a load off to read that I am not to blame. I didn't do anything wrong. I am a pretty good mother, considering the hand we were dealt. I tried. I really did.

I am learning so much about this disease. The author says it's the worst disease anyone can get, and I see why. I'm at the part about medications and treatments. Not too interesting, right now. I guess I understand now why it takes so long to get a perfect fix for an afflicted person. One thing that stands out is that schizophrenia is a disease that affects various parts of the brain. So sad.

So far this is a good vampire story. I like the characters and the plot. The magician is a little goofy, but I guess if you teleport from 12th century Ireland to 21st century New York, you would be. I just get wary when a white author writes a black character, but so far King isn't stereotypical or clownish. That's good. I just wonder why Lilith is bent on destroying the world--her meals.
