Freaking LOVING this! Effie and Elias are more-or-less complete opposites but they WORK so friggin' well together! Y'all need to add this to your TBR!

I'm intrigued by the story so far. But inconsistencies are popping up and that distracts me. Chap 4- the guy's company was 3 years old. Chap 5- it's suddenly 6. And really- 3 years seems a bit of a stretch based on ages. I'm trying. I swear

I read chapter 1. Its going to be a real Tarryn mind fuck. I can already tell. I'm excited and scared and ready to shit my pants all at once!

This has potential to be an EXCELLENT book. IF it were to have a fine-tooth comb ran over it to get the mistakes smoothed out.

Quite shocked that the editing quality is so poor. It saddens me and is becoming distracting.

Hmmm...pretty sure there's a timeline issue in chapter 8. Not major, but definitely making me go huh?

The Boston/NYC comparison has stopped, but in general, I'm struggling to continue. We'll see what happens.

There's is a big lack in research here. Many times we are told just how much safer Boston is than NYC but that's simply not true. Numbers don't lie. When you look at violent crimes per 100,000 residents- Boston is higher than NYC in every category. I'm being picky, I know, but these are the details the sets the great books apart from the meh books. This, right now, is meh.

Liking Ian. But still have issues with the motion stuff. And where the heck did the girls' other roommate go? One chapter she's there, then poof. No more mention. Weird.

This kindle in motion thing is pretty neat. But a tad distracting for me. Personally, I don't think the actors used match the characters at all. But, that's just my opinion. Overall it's a neat concept.

There is more passive "telling" of the story than active "showing" of it. Which is not my cuppa. Story, in general, isn't bad so far though.

Chapter 1 of book 2 and already it starts with the same horrible editing. Can someone tell me how you can cringe your teeth? I just read that. I know...I'm flabbergasted, too.

It's okay so far. Needs an editing overhaul. And why are we referring to baseball GROUPIES as roadies???? Roadies are he people who set up the stage and take care of the equipment for MUSICIANS. They have nothing to do with baseball.

1- I'm struggling with this one. It's too wordy for my taste. I prefer more "show" as opposed to "tell" when I read. Plus I find a lot of the content to be the same info over and over, which I get. To a point. 2- Nicky is a douche. Just saying. That's what I'm taking right now.

Cute, I'm liking. Have noticed that the author accidentally slips into the wrong POV a few times. Like we will be in an Alice chapter, but a paragraph will suddenly be in Rafe's POV. It's happened a couple of times. Not terribly intrusive, but still...

Omg I came across the word "twatwaffle" which means I am extraordinarily happy now!

Confused about Ava's age. Jax has a year left of law school so he's 23-24ish. But the story Gaby tells lets us know she came to America, and basically started immediately with the family. Before Ava was born. And she's been with the family for 15 years. So...this makes no sense. It'd make Ava 14 at most based on that. And I don't think 23 year old Jax would be having sexual thoughts for 14 year old Ava.

I'm giving it 2 more chapters but sense I will DNF this. Writing is extremely and overly formal and stilted. It's a big turn off.
