Fascinating to read the power play between Aelin, Arobynn, Chaol, and a little bit Lysandra. I wonder when the rebels are going to Morath. The breeding/implantation ritual seems brutal and vile but curious to see where it leads. Also, really cool to see Elide’s history/heritage and Manon presenting her with the choice of witch or human. Can’t wait to read more!

Lots of mixed emotions at this point in the book but lots of hope!

Love seeing Elide’s character and perspective. I know she’ll be useful later and I hope to see Aelin rescue her!

Lysandra and Aelin friendship arc! I do think it’s important Aelin tells her who she is soon though.
