it happened AGAIN. why are we waiting so long to get the plot started? it's not like any of them were doing anything. they were just walking around talking to each other in different rooms. we could've gotten this shit moving earlier.

i feel like a lot has happened, but i don’t think that true. the truth is that the characters are talking a whole lot but haven’t actually done anything except move from one room to another. i’m honestly confused and kind of bored. what even matters here?

really hoping i like this more than the first book. the settings are so cool, but i thought the plot of ocean’s go dork was a bit muddled and the characters not dynamic enough for there to be so many to keep track of. i’m hopeful though!

what is with books not getting the promised plot moving until after the halfway mark? i feel like like i keep reading books where the inciting incident on the jacket summary happens too far into the book for the last half to feel anything but rushed. i guess i'll have to see how this one actually plays out.
