This story is so good. It’s fully fleshed out. I’m not a picky critic. If something is blatantly lacking then will say so. This story is so intense. Ryan has been through so much. He deserves so much more in his life to make up for his past. He deserves any bit of goodness he can get. I can’t say it enough. I recommend this book, this series. If you like fantasy, magic, danger & love then this is for you

I cannot believe I found this series! It’s so good. So much passion. I’m angry and excited with worry and fear. There is just so much going on in this book series. I recommend the story. Five stars for me

I have essays I really like. I appreciate John Green more today than yesterday ; )

I can’t recall reading a series with so many twists and turns. I can get an inkling of an idea and be correct or not. I will say 3 times just in this book I find out something HUGE and Hillary OMG OMG OMG!!!

All hell breaking loose. Shocking heart-pounding terror and trauma for me. I’m angry and the “bad guys” so mad. I’m worried. This story seems so real but we are talking strange fantasy creatures and magic. Appearing, or traveling from one location to another by magic. Mind reading, visions. Still it all feels real. This book has been one long heart attack since page 10 lol!

I’m on a roll. One after the other. I’ve downloaded the series.

OMG OMG OMG! I have nobody to talk to except Goodreads. This story is so stressful. I have never EVER wanted to peek ahead to see if a character lived through something and then go back and continue. I almost did but restrained myself. The last 44 chapters have been so ended my seat and I can feel the fast pace of my heart. Something big and shocking just happened and I’m like, WOW! I recommend the book.

The first book I was so in to that I didn’t realize when I was at the end I hit the end. That’s what happens on a Kindle lol. I’m disappointed in how the book starts. The decided to open in a way for a a reader who HASN’T read the first book. It’s like those movie series that do a short recap before the episode. She has given a summary of the ENTIRE first book so far in chapter 1. It should just continue!

How did I not know bout this book earlier? I cannot put the book down. I kept meaning to update Goodreads but didn’t want to stop. I finally have to say it’s already a 5-star story for me. I’m glad there’s 7 books in the series. It’s a unique cultural setting blended with fantasy and magic. Greek clothing for men. I’m having a hard time with picturing warriors in tunics and sandals lol

Very interesting. Since I’m only 16% in I’m giving it one star. A second star because it’s John Green. I’ve received lots of food for thought already so I can give 1/2 star for that. I expect to keep collecting stars as I read 😁

Ok I have to say that I am not one of those picky readers expecting perfection. As long as I am captivated by the story, enjoy the characters and form a bond with them, caring about what happens to them and watch how they evolve (as inevitably they do) and join in the mysteries of the journey—I’m happy. I am very much enjoying this story.

Totally loving the story.

Good story so far. The kind I like. Reminding me of COTAR w the romance only the reader doesn’t have to wait several books in lol. The description does say that. I’d say those scenes could have been written better. But we can always pretend it’s better as we read and put our own imagination in 🙄

So far interesting characters. Interesting always love Fae fantasy and magic. Seems to be a promising story. I was captivated right away which is not always the case.

I love the character evolutions of the Raven Boys each having realized things about themselves and how others perceive them and how it has all been a positive thing. I love the closeness of the friendship circle. Mr. Gray is an interesting addition to the story. The supernatural aspect is interesting too.

There’s so much going on in this story. Fantasy ideas that I just never would think of. I love the story. The characters are solid.

I finished the book. I get to the end and I don’t understand the last sentence. I read it 5 times. I don’t get it. It makes no sense. I find out from one of The Raven Boys lovers in my family that it’s ok because I’m not supposed to. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Ok it’s on to the next. The Dream Thieves (Book 2 of The Raven Boys 😁

No time to say how I feel. To busy reading The Raven Boys. So sorry. Beginning chapter 28. 408 pages. That’s going to be over 800 pages of books read before book club meeting. Wow.
