Giving this another try because I am obsessed with Til the End of the Moon

Taking me 10 years to read this because of health stuff, but I am genuinely enjoying the twists and turns of this novel. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went in fairly blindly but it’s even better than I what I thought I was getting into.

The cat hands down is my favorite POV narrator

I will likely save my review for when I've finished reading all four volumes of this translation, but I will share that I once come across someone saying that this novel is like a Shakespearean tragedy stuffed into a clown car and honestly that's a perfect description.

Holding volume one (of 8 I believe) in my hands and seeing just how long 500 pages really is, is bringing home how ridiculous it was that I originally read this entire story in less than two weeks ☠️

Priest: Fei Du goes to therapy once a week.
Me: oh good for him, good he’s working through his trauma with a professional—
Priest: he books double appointments and spends the two hours asserting dominance
Me: …..

I’d put off reading this because I was worried there was no way it would live up to 千秋/ Thousand Autumns, but I have to say everyone who was saying it was criminal that I hadn’t read this yet were correct.
I started this last night and stayed up way too early this morning because I couldn’t put it down
