Starting to mellow out a bit.

Not really getting hooked with this one. It feels like a rip on FW. I’m not usually one to say that, as many people get inspired by other stories, but. . . FMC tethers a super powerful elemental and he’s grumpy. Also why have two narrators when we’ve only heard from one person so far doing it all?

This is feeling like a Fourth Wing knock off. 🤔

Oh yay, another insufferable, “badass” FMC with a chip on her shoulder. 🫠

I only read 3% and it felt like I read more than that. I really should have DNF’d this book a while ago. Damn my curious mind. 😮‍💨

I really didn’t think I was going to continue the story as I didn’t care much for the first book, but the male narrator had me in the sample so here I am once again.

Just got to Part 2 after two weeks. The first part was a slog fest but I persevered. It’s starting to get more interesting and not as technical. We’ll see if that continues.

This one is definitely taking me longer to get into or it’s that I’m really tired and keep falling asleep when I start reading. 🤷🏼‍♀️
