Today, I learned that in the 1980s on The Joshua Tree tour, U2 was helping the campaign to make MLK Day a national holiday. Many in Arizona didn't like it. So much so that before their concert in Phoenix, Bono received death threats warning him if he sung Pride (In Name of Love), that he would not make it to the end of it.
