Also, life is pretty weird right now, finishing school and having nothing to do until uni starts in September since none of the vacation jobs are replying.
I really thought this would improve my reading, but nope. I spend so much time dwelling on my own thoughts that I can’t read uninterrupted. the problem isn’t even this book.

Darrow’s chapters are making me feel dumb. The whole tech side has gotten too complicated.

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT PLOT TWIST.

This book has been so much better with the plot twists surrounding the littlest things that you read but don’t think anything of.

Had my last school exam today (which I fortunately aced - A+🤭), meaning it’s time to apply to universities. Lots of change, but also lots of reading time! Hopefully I’ll spend it reading amazing books.

I feel like, considering I’m only 200 pages into a Sanderson book, it’s fair to say it’s all just slow build-up as usual.

So much of it is just yapping and dragging out conclusions that were already obvious, but everyone just accepts it because it’s Sanderson. And that includes me. It’s not bad like Well of Ascension, and I actually like the characters much more in this one. But I mean everyone has to agree that the pacing is an issue, right? Then again, I still binged 200 pages today, so what does that say about my reading taste?

Which means reading 55 pages

Maybe he was just…born this way. A star who will never be as bright as his brother, eternally envious of the fact and always trying to dim him in some desperate attempt to make them the same.

For whatever reason, for someone who’s constantly surrounded by all things loud, James has only ever appreciated quiet when it’s with Regulus.

The way they’re written, these characters could be, at most, 25 years old. But there’s no way they’re 33–35. Why did she choose that age range and then write them like teenagers?

Continuing the Mistborn trilogy has always been weirdly intimidating for me. I don’t know why, but Brandon Sanderson kind of scares me.
But once I finally finish this trilogy, I can move on to his standalones.

I just need a story with a cool magic system, political intrigue, and some good plot twists.

Darrow is so wrong about so many things that I honestly understand why the other characters hate him 😭. I don’t claim him as wholeheartedly as I did Hilo or Fang.
