Only read the first chapter but I think this story is gonna impact me emotionally more than I thought

This has so many faults but the vibes are immaculate, the mystery is fun and it feels like reading a wattpad story ( which is a compliment from me)

I am not a fan of the fmc . She pisses me off on too many grounds. The romance is surprisingly okay. Like yes it’s majorly physical but I can see why they suit each other.
Nothing to write home about but it occupies my time

Biggest proof that I could never be placed in Gryffindor is the way I put off angsty books like this, even though I know it’ll be a five-star read
everything is a crafted masterpiece, and Helena and Kaine have burrowed into my bones. I could easily keep reading, I have plenty of time because of the holidays , but I’m way too emotional, so I start other books instead and ignore Alchemised for days. 😭

The fact that this book could be a potential five star ( mind you , I only had five 5🌟reads) absolutely blows my mind

But I LOVE OPHELIA, her inner monologues are sooo funny and I love the empathy she grants towards others . The banter with Alex is sooo good. The vibes spot on. And the writing that many criticize doesn’t feel clonky to me at all

Wendell literally wants Emily to have his true name so she can have the power to command him, and he trusts her to use it when necessary. He also built her an entire library filled with journals for her to write in and don’t even get me started on the cottage.
Ngl, I’m confused about why people consider this book the weakest in the series.

The fact that this is a platonic love quote rather than a romantic one makes it much more wholesome

THIS IS GENUINELY WRITTEN SO WELL

all of these scenes are very familiar because of manacled but I am not mad about it at all!!!
While the new world building is fascinating, reading this kind of feels like re-reading . Reason why I am gonna read something new in between
