Any recs? I would prefer to read about an explorer but I'll consider any recommendations given. Thank you!

I've gotta be honest, I love André. He may seem perspacious, superlicious, and rancorous, but he's so mysterious. How could you not find him at least a little bit attractive?

This is so weird. I'm loving it, but goodness, I'm tense.

I stinkin' hate and despise the Capitol. They vex me ever so much and are quite deplorable. Reading The Hunger Games stirs up so much anger inside of me, for good reason.
I love Ampert so much. Why guys, why?

Haymitch is just like Katniss, but male. And it's just awful reading this and knowing there is no hope for what they're planning, the Games will be in continuation for so much longer.

Let's see if this is overrated or better than the bad reviews say. I'm reading this for one reason only, maybe two.

Part One has been completed! How bittersweet it is. I know this book is all about their lives and growing up, and I do love it so much, yet, I'm so sad to see all the change. Though there is good change. I've watched the movies, mini series, and listened to the audiobook countless times, but the feels are still there. It's as if I've never heard the story before, I'm just eating it up.

Amy deserved everything Jo gave her! Apollyon or not, I'm with Jo on this. What a wretched little girl Amy was. Every time this scene plays out I'm furious with her.

Shakespeare Network's dramatized production is really making this play come alive as I read it. Wow.🤯

The 2nd chapter reminded me of Alice in Wonderland and of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The part where Lucy went on the island of invisible creatures and into the strange house.

I switched to this one instead since it is the 1818 text. Although, I'm really not a fan of the cover.

Polly is the epitamy of patience. She is reminding me of Marmee rn, talking about bearing things. Oh, Polly.

I'm a little bummed that I missed out on reading the next 6 years of Polly's life, because that's where chapter 8 starts. Childhood is awesome, and seeing people grow up and change is bittersweet. I'm still loving this book tho! I recommend reading it.

Tom, Tom, Tom... He's a hoot. The dress incident.😂 I like him, but I couldn't actually deal with him as a brother. I'm not a fan of Fanny tho.

I don't know if I want to DNF this and try again later or just push through. What should I do...?

Mr. Hastings, who is the voice of first person in this book, is annoying me. None of the other first person guys in Agatha Christie's other books has annoyed me like this guy.
