Idk if its me or the book but im going to DNF for now… not wanting to reach for it.

Honestly I’m trying to connect with this but I’m only pushing forward bc i want more of the dark cheeky fae 🫣

The way the book is written makes it seem like this isn’t the first book in the series, the whole family dynamic and the non-magic and magic worlds and it’s based in a magical San Francisco but then there’s a fae realm is just super confusing and kind of just jumped into it with no explanation

this is completely different from the other books in the series which i actually loved. This is NOT A ROMANCE !!!!!! this is a horror/thriller and honestly depressing and disturbing.

this man is so insane and not in a good way in an actually insane abusive way his thoughts have no rational cause

The fmc is so rude and clueless which doesnt fit her role of a queens lady who spent her life at court… she should be more adept at being polite and holding her tongue instead of literally embarrassing herself saying controversial things at a royal meal.
