Wonderfully written for such horribly tragic content. Easy to read but hard to digest, i knew so many breadcrumbs of the U.S. history of institutional racism but never read a work that so fully connects the dots

Made it through Repetition, which I took to mostly be a story about isolation and seeking comfort/satisfying desires, but Philosophical Crumbs is difficult to work my way through. The assumptions and conclusions Kierkegaard works with are almost painful to wrap my head around..

This is more a book about the limits of our own cognition than about climate change, and I find it extremely interesting!

A depressing read, but very informative and moving.
My ancestors lived in Hiroshima Prefecture, but I was never able to ask them what it was truly like around the time of the bomb. I guess reading this is my attempt at understanding part of my own family legacy.

Started this a few days ago; I'm still in the more historical essays about Burma rather than Aung San Suu Kyi's personal writings, but I can already hear and enjoy her voice as a writer. Looking forward to reading more

ahh this book is so depressing in content and archaic in writing style that it's legitimately hard to read. I *just love* full untranslated paragraphs in French about how to break a man's soul!

I was captured by Taleb’s writing style from the first page.... only now do I notice the book is over 1000!
