I added a video to my page for fans of GET YOUR SHINE ON - it's the song Hen sings for Sam at the end of the book. Here's my recording of it from a few years back.

So I wrote a script based on SHAKING THE SUGAR TREE and entered it into the Fresh Voices screen competition - and I've been selected as one of their quarter-finalists!

For those of you who have asked, I am fine. I work in downtown Tupelo, Mississippi, and spent about two hours in the fallout shelter at the courthouse across the street yesterday. The tornado that went through was devastating, produced some injuries and perhaps one fatality that we know of so far. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
