Reread before the next one

Okay this is already fun to read 🍿

What the heck is going on here 🕵️‍♀️

I forgot how addictive this is to read 🐉

Reread time 🐉

🥲❤️

I love Alison Espach's prose and The Wedding People lives up to her usual standard. I was hooked from chapter 1!

Things are happening 👀👀👀

So I've not had a lot of focus time to read but whew the world building here is a doozy. I'm intrigued enough to keep going, though it's been odd pacing. The start of the book wasn't quite a hook but there was a lot that interested me, followed by many, many pages of world narration and intrigue that wasn't so intriguing. Things are now getting going 🫡

The first two books in this series were incredible, the third was a drag and this one is a drag. So much of the text is so unnecessary and the info dumping feels really silly given it's the last book in the series. I hear it gets better, I hope it does so Nyktos and Sera's story isn't ruined for me.

Okay so the writing especially in the beginning is not good, it took me a bit to get into. But there is a great mystery build up that now I need to finish this.

There is a lot that's enjoyable about this but the professional YouTuber thing is really throwing me here.

Unfortunately this is quite boring. Will give another 10%.

Rhys is still the shining Maas hero for me. The duality of intrigue and his softer humanity is chefs kiss.
