Joined a professional development book club at work, I love generating shareholder value, and plausable deniability for using an E-reader at the desk.

The reign of the Song dynasty has come to an end, much like my period of inactivity with my tome. Like the Great Qian Yuan I will conquer this book.

One day in the office and this has already provoked more controversy than Ayatollah Khomeini and Animal Liberation Now combined.

Rebecca from work has just dumped a 9 book Bridgerton set on my desk... my TBR may never recover.

This is a slim collection of poems I picked up on a whim but 5 books on the go does feel pretty egregious in any circs.

3 of 3 this already feels much more novel than the second entry, so much so that I'm rethinking my rating. Children of Ruin while doing some cool stuff borrowed way too much from the first novel and the sum was slightly less than the first. Won't be downgrading on here though, I've seen Tchaikovsky's author headshot and I like his vibe, couldn't do that to him.

Straight onto the next 1, this time is cephalopod-y!

Woah mama!

Started reading immediately after finishing the Pratchett biography, the bio goes into some detail about the writing process and themes important to the author at the time.
This is one of the darker entries in Discworld and thanks to the primer I'm noticing where these influences are coming from and just how they're expressing themselves.
