Currently, my family and I are reading this together, and I just have to say... we're not even A QUARTER OF THE WAY IN... and I've already cried.

But, despite the sadness gnawing at the shards of my broken heart, I know that there is hope, and for that, I shall continue the journey.

This story is more than just a story. The characters, these jewels, are more than just words on a page.

Must cry, then continue...

On Chapter 15.

Tears have been shed...

Not very far in, but I remember why I love this book so much! It's been 7 years since I read it. My teacher made me do an assignment the class had done the previous year (even though I was brand new to the area). At first, I didn't want to read it. But... Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down!

Now, 7 years later, I'm excited to re-read it and fill my brain with the ingenuity of Loris Lowry!!!
