While still over-written and in dire need of trimming down, some of the sense of “angry dude railing at modern society” has softened. Still, the book is a slog. Excellent though quite simple ideas that could be explicated in a short paragraph are buried under straw man arguments and nonsensical bloat.

Reading for book club. Feels both shallow and overwritten. Will frustrate anybody looking for more than talking points: Per Christianity, a few good points are buried under mountains of unsubstantiated truth-claims and misreadings; per other faiths, inaccuracies and logical fallacies reveal patronizing anti-semitism and Islamophobia.
As “social commentary,” gives strong “Old Man yelling at clouds” energy.
