this is basically Howl's Moving Castle but with a cat rescue. I'm into it.

This series is basically immaculate. I love this story so much.

this is not going too well for me but I'm holding out hope the dragons save it. really just tired of the "sassy fierce smarter than everyone else" type FMC that then proceeds to make impulsive and stupid decisions that contradict all those descriptions we were force fed in the beginning lol. DON'T TELL ME, SHOW ME.

if there's one thing about T Kingfisher it's that I'm going to fall in love with the characters immediately. also Sarkis has a Scottish accent in the audiobook and it's an incredible choice.

I am really conflicted about this book. I'm having fun for the most part but I hate every single character and I'm certain I've called the "big reveal" coming at the end. depending on how that goes will determine whether I care enough to keep tabs on book 2.

the amount of times I've rolled my eyes during this book would have my mom telling me if I keep making that face it'll get stuck.

I don't believe this romance for a moment. these two twats have zero chemistry beyond being a stack of tropes stuffed in a trench coat.

this is just trope soup

still yet to be convinced I'm not falling for another overhyped romantasy but remaining hopeful.

TO SAY I'M EXCITED TO READ THIS IS A MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT

the way this book plays with narrative voice is masterful.

I can already tell this is going to be a 5 star read for me. this book does not hold back while exploring the horrors of racism and the industrial prison complex.
