The descriptions of trivial things are so long… paragraphs… The character development and world building leaving a lot to be desired… I am struggling.

I really want to like this book but so far it feels like it was written by AI??

Still one of my favorite series, each book somehow better than the last 😭🤍

Although interesting this reads like a textbook …

This book is so long I’m going to be reading it forever but today I learned that in the 1920s the NKVD started arresting religious believers including priests and nuns, giving them 10+ year sentences in the gulag compared to a prostitutes ~3 year sentence.
