@ the week #2 stopping point for April book club - very easy to predict the "plot twists" and still not loving the author's writing style, BUT... it's still got me on the hook to find out what's supposedly going to break my heart at the end of the book, and I'm actually enjoying reading this now and not only doing it for B.C. sooo that's a bonus!

welp I've already pretty much figured out the book and I kind of hate the author's writing style, but 1) I want to make sure I'm right, 2) I don't want to abandon the book club, and 3) it apparently ends in tragedy, and I'm intrigued, so... I'll be continuing. sigh.
