It’s looking very bleak. I hate that all of xaden s relationships are now untrusting and sawyer’s entire thing sucks. This has always been a dark series but this isn’t dark, this is depressing. 😢

Finally I am able to read again!! And totally didn’t have to watch a synopsis of the last book to remember what happened 😅. Very strong start and looking forward to it!

Holy cow… everything. Literally everything. I feel all the feelings, I have all the concerns, I have all the ideas. My head hurts and so do my eyes. I have no idea where it goes from here. I’m excited but just wow….

So first of all I CALLED IT! From the MOMENT it was mentioned in book one I CALLED IT!! Also again can these two please just sit down and have a normal conversation this is really starting to piss me off. They are both wrong and just need to sit down and talk. Brennan is a boss for doing what he did in that scene. I should’ve finished it tonight but I was tired. I will in the next 1 or 2 days easy.

Ah yes because we are all allergic to an actual discussion about what’s bothering us. And in true fantasy fashion, when we may actually get somewhere, WAR!

So it’s painfully obvious that those dreams aren’t just dreams right? It feels very slow again and maybe it’s because we are between conflicts right now but it feels very slow. Loved the little training but with magic it was very cool. I hate that I didn’t read more over the school holidays because absolutely I could have finished the book but too late now.

Been very on and off with reading because of school but the book is going good. I hate Cath. I want to jokingly not jokingly slap the main characters and I need more squad time because they are such fun characters that have barely been looked at.

Been a hot minutes since I actually updated where I was reading. I like that she is going to train and I liked that she was going to go behind xaden a back. I didn’t like that he then showed up anyway and he’s dating Cat. (Who I hate btw) I loved Mira’s reaction to Brennan cause I was really annoyed when violet didn’t react like that (and I would). The war I like, what xaden and violet are doing atm I don’t

Holy cow that was amazing. I loved the interrogation and seeing Liam almost made me sob at school. I don’t know how I feel about Dain yet and I love that Brennan went off at xaden. I want to more about the mum and I desperately want to know Mira’s reaction. I can’t wait to see how this goes from here!!!

I am very much enjoying this. I’m so happy the friends are in the know and I think ridiculous might be my new favourite character. I love that xaden killed the brother, that’s crazy and I’m happy we are getting some group dynamics again. I missed this feeling of the book.

Have been on and off with reading lately but I really want to continue this book. And go onto others. I’m glad we are finally going somewhere and things are happening. I don’t like cat. At all. I want to know what the deal is with the viscount and I can’t wait to hear about the squads reaction.

I loved the build up to this one I was so excited. And then he was fine. Not dead, not dying, not injured, just fine….. I feel scammed. Also I need her to stop being petty. I get being angry and honestly fair I would be too but you will say it to literally EVERYBODY except him. That’s just petty. So that last bit was not fun because the discussion before it was bs. I am ecstatic that things are happening now tho.

YAY THINGS ARE HAPPENING!! The interrogation was really fun but I wanted it to be a little more graphic. Love that we got confrontation with Dain. I don’t really like that jack is back. I feel like it’s unnecessary. I want to know more about the prince guy. But holy crap that last chapter was so fricken good at the end. Am a little annoyed she point out the obvious tho. But overall starting to have a lot of fun!!

Ether things are very slowly beginning to happen or I’m delusional. I think I’m noticing the main problem is that there is so much going on and it’s all building but it’s all going slowly making it feel like I’ve been here for 400 pages instead of 200. Love that we are slowly dealing with rhi and xaden but there are many problems in many places (in the story). But all in all still enjoying it.

I know it’s been like 30 pages but this is ridiculous. Even when something is happening, nothing is actually happening! I am enjoying it despite my annoyance with how slow it is. I just need them to actually have a conversation instead of a bickering tournament. Salone needs to pull her head in and violet needs to talk to rhi. I need it to go in a solid direction and not all of them all at once at a snails pace.

Been so inconsistent with reading omg. It’s going very slowly. And I was warned it would but I didn’t want to believe it. Loving the new class as murder coded as it is but omg they’re all idiots for drinking what they were given. I want more corespondents with xaden and I want the whole letter damnit! Also I kinda want to see Dain just so I can scream at him. Missing andarna too. It’s slow but interesting😅

Kinda slow but oh my god what the hell was that!?! Limas sister is going to make me have an aneurism. Where is xaden? Why is violet not listening to a single instruction!?! And who is that other dragon!?! What the hell is going on in basgiath!?!

So, violet isn’t asking the questions I want her to. WHY ARE WE KEEPING THE BIG ANGRY DRAGONS APART!?! Why is Andarna being a “stereotypical teen”. Dain can piss right the hell off. And rip Liam!! But overall still enjoying it. I have however not read a lot and been forgetting to update and am doing year 12 so we shall see how we go.

Omg it’s so good to be back! (It’s been less than a week) love the strong start with new characters already and a nice rip for our boy. I was flabbergasted on the last page of the first book so now I’m craving answers. I can’t wait!

OMG I JUST FINISHED IT AND ITS 12:46am. That was the hugest 100 pages I’ve ever read. I POVE LIAM DAMNIT! And what do you mean the guy is alive!?!?! Omg I’m dying wth. This ending was amazing!

Well that was a trip. Loved the scene on the parapet. Liam is a fucking angel! Unpopular opinion, I want to go a little back to the world building and main story a little bit though now that this has happened I’m scared that I am going to massively regret asking for it. Despite this thing saying there are 600+ pages there are only 500 so I am within the 100 page marker of everything is going to shit be afraid.

OMG!! He’s finally dead! Mira is sick as hell and I love her and I need to see more of her! Dain is still being a dumbass. After getting told to pull his head in again. Totally called that they would be able to read each others thoughts and gotta say I like this version a lot better than others. And the LIGHTNING!?! That is so fucking sick. 😆

I love how we see Mira again! That scene was amazing. I wish there was a little more but no complaints. I am concerned that she was on patrol and they just dipped. Is that gonna come up again or be a problem??? Also hi xaden. I fully expected this but can you chill out with the appear out of no where bit please 😂

I just have to pause for a minute because even tho I get annoyed because she’s drooling every 10 minutes or drains being dumb, I can’t help but love this book because the hype moments are so fricken good! Like that was the coolest thing! Violet is both the dumbest and smartest characters and I don’t know if I love or hate her.

LOVING THIS SHIT! The public execution was sick as hell. Liam is such a sweet guy and I love him. My only real pet peeve aside from dain needing to shut the hell up is every time xaden is mentioned it’s followed by no less than 3 paragraphs of “oh no he’s hot!” Like I agree but calm down girl. Tho chapter 22 was fun to read. I love them both agreeing that it is a dumb choice and they do it anyway. 😂LOVE IT

Took me a second to understand wtf was happening but once it clicked I found the start very intriguing.
It’s late so I gave up really quick but a start is still a start!

Liam is a really chill guy but Xaden is being an overprotective boy without telling her anything and not even being seen enough to give hints and its bothering me. The twist that it was the third wing leader was idssapointing because we only really know 3 female characters that it could have been. Still enjoying just need more.

The hype train never goes away!! I don’t like this new professor guy already and we barely met him. Absolutely love Tairn he is a fucking mood and Andarna is a precious baby. Still hate Dain. Love the way Imogen is now helping her out and we have our new circle. Wondering what the hell those guys were up to when she was getting attacked for them to just appear in full gear. And am very curious about this rider.
