Speech was good but that entire interacting was me screaming at other people to tell violet (the audience) what was going on. Xaden being given back his title was kind of predictable but it makes the politics a little more interesting. I want to be a fly on the wall for these meetings more than I want to hear violets inner monologue that only tells us half of what is happening.

I am at the point where it feels like nothing major has happened in the entire book. Also why is he her teacher? Why did that need to be a thing? And why is it being played off as sexy? It’s not! Not to me! Either teach or go be nasty somewhere else!

I’m loving the inner conflict of the quadrants that was left up in the air in the last book being very intense and fun however violet very much suffers from main character syndrome and it drives me insane.

It’s looking very bleak. I hate that all of xaden s relationships are now untrusting and sawyer’s entire thing sucks. This has always been a dark series but this isn’t dark, this is depressing. 😢

Finally I am able to read again!! And totally didn’t have to watch a synopsis of the last book to remember what happened 😅. Very strong start and looking forward to it!
