Finished the first short story.

I stopped reading this, I could see where it was going without feeling engaged.

I am sorry I can’t read this book in the original Spanish. The translation is irritating with over use of contractions such as would’ve, couldn’t in the narrative. In dialogue it’s different.
And “gotten” really, does that idiomatic language fit in narrative? Is it even a real word?
I feel the translation is letting this book down.

I’m putting this book on hold until I find a better edition than Penguin. It’s physically too hard to read , small pages, small font.
