Julie goes back to school in this chapter. She ends up sitting with Jay, Rachel, and Yuki during lunch. I’m glad she did and they were able to talk a little.Oliver, on the other hand had no one to talk to. It was interesting finding out they fought for Sam’s attention because it didn’t matter in the end. He was gone. But if he wasn’t gone Oliver might not have opened up to Julie. Hope they become friends.

This chapter is before Sam’s death. It’s the same as the prologue, including memories of them together, seamlessly connecting. The transitions are amazing. This book is staying on theme. In the chapter before this, Sam talks about the things he always does. He answered her call like he always does. This chapter deals with promises. Sam made a lot of promises that seemed sweet until she looked back on them.

I can see why Sam feels hurt when he realizes his belongings are being packed away. It’s sad, but he’s understanding that he’s no longer there, and it’s hard for everyone he knew to keep them in sight

I knew this is how the chapter was ending when they showed up! Also, they treat her like a valuable package that needs to be accounted for at all times. It’s hilarious.

I thought Violet killed someone with her lightning when Garrick showed up! I’m very very relieved!

She should give Xaden the silent treatment . . . After offering support for this horrible anniversary. Violet hasn’t really talked to Bodhi or Garrick much, but I think she should. Get close with them to get close to Xaden, if you know what I mean

Xaden gives better advice than Dain. I can see why Dain’s mad, but he has no right to place his crusty lips on Violet, lol. The little info part at the start of this chapter scared me because it made it seem like Liam was dead.

Violet is a lightning welder! I hope Liam is alright and that no one noticed her stop time. But that seems too good to be true.

Shannon does not support her friend’s interests.
Tessa puts herself in danger to take photos.
Tessa eats a salad to look as good as Skylar: not to be healthy.
Tessa doesn’t show up to meet Skylar’s grandfather and she ignores his texts and calls.

Dain is so jealous, lol. Xaden is still the best. I would be on his side whether he made Violet leave or not.

They might be mad about her revealing the hidden battles.

I’m guessing they’re looking to abuse any power they find, they just don’t know it’ll come from baby dragons. (Violets mom and them).

Violet’s getting so much stronger and I love it. Xaden needs a restraining order against her.
