The good guys are always winning. This is not very exciting!

In the process of transformation the Spirit of God moves us from behaviors motivated by fear and self-protection to trust and abandonment to God;

from selfishness and self-absorption to freely offering the gifts of the authentic self;

from the ego's desperate attempts to control the outcomes of our lives to the ability to give ourselves over to the will of god.Which is often the foolishness of this world.

The Holy Spirit fell on the Presbyterian church and from outside the church, the firebell was ringing because the fire station saw flames exiting the church. People from all over came to help put out the fire. But when they got to the church, they saw the flames, but the church wasn't burning. Instead of a natural fire, it was the fire of God.

Listening to this made me feel so creeped out. She could have just as easily been killed by Bertha.

Those two have got to be the most selfish and unloving siblings I've ever read about. My goodness. Their relationship is appalling.

No one reaches the highest peak of life unless they are willing to fall to the greatest depths.No one can experience deep,heartfelt joy unless he is able & willing to grieve to the core, even having hopes disappointed by not being fulfilled.
Gladness, therefore, is only for the courageous because it requires risking emotional & spiritual pain in the midst of a living lives as we are made to live-fully in relationship
