I’m actually quaking w excitement at being able to do .5 ratings omg

My god this is so sad😭 this is a really intense first hand view of realizing your loved ones probably did not make it through a zombie-esque apocalypse. Somehow, through it all, Dorran is still the loveliest most kind man ever and this horror series is actually incredibly romantic

I’m gonna need some big proclamation of love to each other soon because they are sooo perfect ugh

“Ah, Clare. Never leave me again without at least giving me the chance to beg you to stay.” Oh my godddddd

I’m having the time of my life and Dorran is so dreamy like when did this become the perfect horror romance????? It’s like if a zombie apocalypse had a sexy incredibly kind and generous man to fall in love with

This being almost like a gothic horror apocalyptic romance in modern time is actually killing me I’m so excited

I know who I am and I’m having just as much fun as I was when I started this series but it’s so perfectly woven in a much deeper and more intense story while remaining hilarious. This series could end up being 15 books and I’m sat, I’m so fucking sat

Not sure how to describe the feeling of reading THE beginning of the cyberpunk genre as an absolutely huge cyberpunk fan. The connections, the influence this had on sci fi, the fact that I recognize soooo many references in other media that come back to this I mean one of my fav video games ever is CP2077 and wow I feel like I’ve been here in this book before. Amazing

One of my favorite subgenres of scifi fantasy is 2 very different beings agreeing to work together and becoming the most beautiful found family. The monk and robot series and project Hail Mary are other amazing examples of this but it gets me all emotional every time😭

Ugh I’m soooo mad I didn’t fall in love with this like 3 years from now when it’s got way more volumes out

Yeah I’m obsessed with them already

The violence in this book makes me cringe back it’s so horrifying😭

This shit is wild

I have been craving a large scale, multi world, magic filled, high stakes, “everything you’ve ever known is a lie”, lost but then found family, super sexy longing romantic and desperate for you and only you, classic romantasy for a while and this is doing it fr. The whiplash from legacy to this has been wild but now that I’m getting my fix I can finish legacy afterwards for the closure

So I’m pausing the legacy series bc I’m just annoyed with it right now lmao but I like the universe and her writing so why not jump into this one and hope I enjoy the romance more🤞

Found out almost 2 whole books in that this is a why choose?😀🔪🩸 lord pls help me understand and maybe, just maybe, try to enjoy that bc I am…..struggling. But I’m too invested in everything else to just quit now ugh. Hoping I’ll come around to that idea

I get she’s the victim in most of this but Tessa girl you’re kinda driving me nuts with your recklessness
