One of my favorite subgenres of scifi fantasy is 2 very different beings agreeing to work together and becoming the most beautiful found family. The monk and robot series and project Hail Mary are other amazing examples of this but it gets me all emotional every time😭

I have been craving a large scale, multi world, magic filled, high stakes, “everything you’ve ever known is a lie”, lost but then found family, super sexy longing romantic and desperate for you and only you, classic romantasy for a while and this is doing it fr. The whiplash from legacy to this has been wild but now that I’m getting my fix I can finish legacy afterwards for the closure

So I’m pausing the legacy series bc I’m just annoyed with it right now lmao but I like the universe and her writing so why not jump into this one and hope I enjoy the romance more🤞

Found out almost 2 whole books in that this is a why choose?😀🔪🩸 lord pls help me understand and maybe, just maybe, try to enjoy that bc I am…..struggling. But I’m too invested in everything else to just quit now ugh. Hoping I’ll come around to that idea

Absolutely horrific people

They’re all so cute I can’t!!! I love that even the “bad guys” are really silly and likable. Shows how neither side is pure good or evil

Such a fun series with a great mix of magic and cyber/steampunk and blood and gore but also HILARIOUS I’m having a blast
