A deal where you are in a marriage for 5 years off and get 10K out of it at the end. When the guy gets multiple thousands (Probably millions as inheritance) because his family are multi millionaires. This math ain't mathing. The wife is broke and the guy is rich af. Even if it's a fake marriage, I think the guy should have provided financial aid for the full duration of the marriage + give actually fair compensation

i discovered a week ago that i love marriage of convenience!! when i remembered the synopsis of this book & that i need summery reads, i knew i had to try this one out

i know this is a small thing to nitpick, but i really dislike the character names. the main girl's name is a word in my native language and every time i hear it i just feel weird. the word is just an extremely odd choice. there was another character too, that has a real name in my native language and it felt off putting

this is so goood. i love how fast paced this is. the dialogue is hella wierd, but i like the characters

there is something kind of jarring about how dark the world feels compared to atla. atla was dark too but in a different way. this feels like real world problems. it's like a bucket of cold water thrown at your neck, because it takes you out of the imaginary world. it would have been different if atla had the same vibe too, but this feels too realistic in comparison

fun and easy read. i'm just flying through the pages. passes the time great. only thing i would do differently is give them more of an emotional bond, before all the physical. i feel like the pair is mostly just physically attracted to each other

celia calling evelyn a whore is not sitting right with me. idk she has some similar attitudes to evelyn's sexuality as men do and i don't like that. i don't like that she is dismissing evelyn's bisexuality until a moment comes for her to be threatened by it. turning on her on a whim and calling her just a nice pair of tits. if my partner said it to me i would question how they truly saw me or did they actually at all
