Looking forward to this re-read!

I was really into this at first but now I’m kinda bored lol

*Whitney Rose voice* On my healing journey, I always travel first class

DNF page 160. I have been looking for this one for a while, and only heard good things so I was excited to see it at the library last weekend. But truthfully this was so boring to me. The dual narratives were hard to follow and both perspectives were overdone with jargon and nods to the time period. In my opinion good historical fiction doesn’t need to constantly reference other events of the era to get the setting

“…a vampire has the ability to command the lesser animals-cats, rats, weasels (and possibly republicans, ha-ha)” i chuckled

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this. So far, it is not what I expected and not what I wanted.

Just randomly started getting good

Ok so I have thoughts

The word ardently is used so often and it just makes me think of Mr Darcy

Looking forward to Guillermo del Toro’s take on this, starring Jacob Elordi.

Something to break up the body keeps the score when I’m not feeling studious

Already so amazing
