DNF page 160. I have been looking for this one for a while, and only heard good things so I was excited to see it at the library last weekend. But truthfully this was so boring to me. The dual narratives were hard to follow and both perspectives were overdone with jargon and nods to the time period. In my opinion good historical fiction doesn’t need to constantly reference other events of the era to get the setting
