Nate is finished with Monsters: What Do We Do with Great Art by Bad People?
there’s basically only one interesting facet of this kind of subject that is “what if what makes Polanski/Allen/et al really good artists IS the fact that they are so awful?” Not that they were evil in spite of their talent, but that it is almost causal. The way oppressive labor is an inseparable necessity in obtaining a blood diamond.

If book hits that question well, 4-5 stars, if it dodges it, 1.
