The author appears to be caught between telling two different stories and neither is really shining through. A couple of pages ago I learned incredible points about forestry. This narrative picked up steam for half a chapter then stopped abruptly as the author had returned back to a narrative about her family which muddles along until the next section that resumes talking about her work.

This story has found its pacing. I really want to see a film adaptation of this story.
