The writing is very dry, in a mid century way. (The first edition of this book was written in the 60s. This version was released in the mid 90s, just after the author’s death.)
I appreciate that she has taken time in this recent chapter to touch on the policies that the private funeral industry espoused during the AIDS epidemic and the injustice thereof.
