wow obsessed link is so smart, her stories are so out-there yet make total sense. haven’t been this excited about a book in so long (probably since blood and guts in high school)

honestly eating disorders r so boring. a lot of the writers struggled with providing a conclusion that sounded earnest— probably because they’re still effected by their eating disorders. some essays stood out by bringing a more unique perspective/voice, but a majority fell flat for me. also pretty dated in terms of research, but research on psych illnesses is lacking in general.

she’s so nutty like none of this surprises me at all

honestly ya anything that is interesting (that’s kind of the point of a memoir, to be like “my life/thoughts were so interesting”, idk) is rly killed by her voice. i guess she’s writing from a stable/medicated perspective, and her tone comes across as very judgmental of her past bipolar self, and idk if that’s like super helpful for her target audience(?), bipolar people. i just don’t rly like this :|

tbh not into her voice (very academic) but it’s like interesting ish so far

i’ve decided i’m not going to finish this #disappointed
