i'm definitely not going to read this in one sitting like i did with book 1 because ansley irritates me to no end. and also the magical-powers-as-metaphor-for-queerness/neurodivergency is hitting a bit too much, especially with a mystery all about conversion therapy

i can already tell this will be a 5 star read for me; it gives me the same feeling that listening to blue and grey by bts gives me, it's melancholy and a little bittersweet

and also. this is supernatural if it was also old man yaoi it's perfect

there was an italicized /oh/ moment and i don't think i have ever smiled giggled kicked my feet more. is it a cliched line? yes. is it a cliched line i will live and die for? also yes.

i didn't expect to like this as much as i do, it's fast-paced and an easy read

trying to get one more book in before i have to return everything to the library

so far really into the writing style and the plot is intriguing

i'm finally reading this and having a lot of feelings

book 2 is so much better than book 1. plot is much more engaging, more is happening. really hoping i can finish this in the next two days

i bought this book on a whim because it looked interesting but it's so much better than i thought it would be
