I'm so weak when it comes to this genre cuz why do I fw Kirill again. The entire ending of the second book could've been avoided if Kirill had just told Sasha his plan but nope. As usual, the entire premise is misunderstandings and betrayal from it.

At least Kirill is acting the way he should be now, and Sasha is giving him a hard time, not enough imo but atleast she's not THAT weak.

Sooo, while I feel bad for Andarna, it doesnt make sense to me why shes blaming Tairn or Violet or treating them that way, like... these people raised you, no matter the circumstances of how dragons are treated or used in Basgiath. Also, Ridoc is such a real one, hes one of the few who always prioritizes Violet over Xaden, usually its the opposite. Something bad is gonna happen, i can tell... 😭

Watching Cat like someone else and actually be happy makes me a little happy as well. Now seeing Xaden powerless and become venin as more of the book goes by does NOT make me happy :(
Also, I LOVE Ridoc, hes such a sweetheart and so thoughtful (also took me 3 books to realize hes bi...)

Barely into the book and you already know the ending is going to be absolutely heartbreaking. On the other hand, at least the couple is willing to do literally absolutely anything for each other. Every time Xaden says something my soul dies with his loving obsessed words about violet 😭🫶

Okay, i feel like the characters redeemed themselves a little. Tristan in his protective, 'touch my girl and die' era im all for, hes so fine it makes up for it. Most of my feelings come from Moranas character not getting enough justice, theyre downplaying her but after the attack its gotten better and more cohesive

Like girl cmon, and its more infuriating the fact that her beginning character was so badass and now she cant do anything without him saving her and "grounding" her. She didnt need him before, be so fr rn 😒
