having a hard time getting into the story. theres so much backstory on secondary characters, causung the plot set-up to drag. For all the raving of the reviews irs received, im hopeful it picks up steam soon.

**spoiler** I finished this morning... My only real criticism is that she didn't really resolve the love triangle. She just turned gale into a heartless soldier, cured Peeta and ta-da, hea...based on what? Availability? Gale moved on to bigger,better things? Peeta stuck around planting rose bushes? Idk, the love triangle was a pretty big part of the trilogy, but the resolution left a lot to be desired.

all this introspection is leaving melancholy on a rainy sunday. I really want to yell at Katniss, "Sack Up!"

using differwnt tense has to follow a pattern or confuses the reader

voice used in 3pov isnt consistent.

switch in tense and pov...ballsy or crazy? 3rd pov is a bit off.

second attempt at reading

Well, I can see where Don begins to get tedious. I beleive if you are accustomed to a "Don" perhaps its a bit of a different read depending on your social experiences. But there is something, perhaps not sinister, but certainly covert that we arent privvy to, yet.

There's something off with Gene that we're not privy to yet as this is from Don's pov and he hasn't a clue what's happening socially. There are small clues that suggest Claudia isnt all kopasetic with Gene (the Chilis in his sandwich)....

It only took the first page before I had Don's "voice" in my head. There's some Sheldon Cooper in there, for sure. So far, I find it fascinating the author has chosen to give Don Aspie charachteristics yet not allow him the comfort of self diagnosis...
