It had been months since I started rereading this. Going to return it to my general shelf and fix the read dates.

I have seen some content on this and better understand the writing structure being used, which takes out most of the confusion I was starting to develop. Hopefully, I will have a smoother reading experience for being spoiled by YouTube.

This isn’t hurting for me.

I have thoughts and most of them aren't good.

There is alot wrong here (modern vernacular, out of place vocabulary, and grammatical errors to name a few) but the story is an interesting premise. The tropes are big neon standouts and the chemistry of the MCs is weak and the FMC is so vapid... I will go another chapter and decide. Definitely not buying the SE.

So far there has been two scenes of non-con intercourse and one of those was lead into by a planned gang non-con. There are also grammar mistakes and the world building is sketchy. I don't know yet. The B&tB inspo is high but the opening scene will make it hard for the mmc to redeem himself.

Is this ACOTAR? I think it is...

I knew the moment this fmc opened her mouth I wasnt going to give this more than a 3. I am entertained but its not anything to write home about.

Unless this picks up in the next 25 pages then it’s headed for 2 star territory… so slow zzzz

This did something in the last 50 pages and it’s now a popcorn read and I will adore it. It’s not good, well written, or new in plot or world, but it’s going to be a favorite…

Wow. Glad I bought a copy of this.

I have questions. It is written okay but feels very rushed. The plot progression is too convenient and the math doesn’t add.

Classism, racism, and I’m not sure yet on how an angel fits into it…

This is infuriating!

Is the writing good? No, it’s not bad but it’s not good. Is the smut good? Yes, very much so. The vibes are great too and the blood and guts are crazy. I’m not unhappy with this.

This opened kinda bland and uninspired, and I said I’d give it to 100 to get better, and here we are at 50 and it’s got a hook. Little hook but still, hook.

MMC is a bit wishy-washy.

For the reviews that say this is very flowery and hard to follow, I am getting the flowers but not the hard to follow part. This is pretty and twisted but lyrical. I’m liking it.

Oh, this is dark. It’s very fantastical and well written, like a Grimm Fairytale.

I see what the hype is about. To be fair, I read and enjoyed her stand-alone, The Demons Prince book, so I knew this would be good. It is set before that one though and I am remembering bits from it, but it’s not spoiled for me, I don’t think.

Dnf, no rating. The writing is underdeveloped and yet wordy at the same time.

Going to dnf. The writing isn’t good and the characters are hollow.
