What is with the random disparaging paragraph about autism ok page 196? It doesn’t fit with this book at all.
“I now know that autism can be the cruelest of afflictions, and that even with massive loving efforts by parents and caregivers, recovery often remains terribly elusive.”
This book was published in 2020 and that is an insulting and outdated view of neurodivergence
