I went into this book blind folded - I didn’t read what its about but knew it ties in with the from blood and ash series

I am so far impressed, it’s taken a bit to get my grip on what’s going on but let me tell you my jaw dropped when I found out who the MMC was revealed to be and I am so stoked I have read this one next…

Interesting story from the get go

Not sure if I’m going to love this book but I’m trying to read something different to what I usually read so we will see

Ok starting to get a little interesting by chapter 28 but that seems like a long while before getting interesting

Hmmm im really struggling to be interested in this book… its also in third person and i dont know its just not very interesting so far.. i dont like not finishing a book so will see how much more i can endure, currently on chapter 13 audio book

Oh gosh, just when I thought book 3 could be my absolute fav of this series, I get to read this absolute masterpiece

I’m about 40% in via audio book and already I know this one is going to be a top read for me

And to think I waited so long to read this one after the last one broke my heart, I really wish I hadn’t

Ok second update
I am glad I persisted, like I mentioned in first update this author is brilliant at making you absolutely loath the villain main characters and then they evolve
I think this one has been the hardest to experience because of my own up bringing / morals however I’m surprisingly really enjoying how this story is playing out

I am currently audio booking this one and up to chapter 8….

I am really concerned this book might end up on the DNF pile

The MMC is a narcissist and I don’t think I can read much more of this behaviour in a book due to personal triggers and morals.

I know Emily has a great way of making you hate the villain at the start and end up loving them at the end which is the only reason I will hold on for a bit longer
